For the past few weeks I have been writing about mindset on different levels; taking action, making changes in your /my life, and insights on communication. These are all functions of our mind – thinking and emotions.
Yet on an incredible microscopic level, there is another universe that we are affecting and just beginning to understand, or view differently – the human cell. It’s the human cell in all its beauty and mystery that makes up our body, to be you and me, physically.
One of the components of the human cell is the mitochondria. The mitochondria to the cell, is like our heart to our body. Without the mitochondria the cell would die because it’s the powerhouse of the cell, the creator of cellular energy through chemical reactions occurring within its membrane. If you watch the video below, the mitochondria is the large, gray colored object shaped like a wrinkled bean .
Imagine trillions of cells living side by side in a community, just like you and I. These cells have “jobs” like you and I do, places to go, places to travel to. They communicate with each other in ways I don’t know if we’ll ever understand.
Who takes care of them? We do. Directly through our lifestyle, what we eat, and what we think.
Candace Pert PhD. author of “Molecules of Emotion” discovered that cells display emotion and have a memory!. Now I know if you’re reading this you may say “ba-hum bug!” But let’s think about this.
Why, when someone gets ill we encourage positive thinking, the use of positive affirmations, a change in lifestyle that is less stressful and more positive, relaxation techniques? Why does it work? In some cases illness has been reversed. Why when some people have received organs from a donor their personality changes and demonstrate attributes of the donor?
Because our thoughts and how we choose to live our lives influence our personal, cellular world.
So, are you leaving your body behind? Are you so busy running your brain that your body- your cells – are dragging? Are you forgetting them? What are you doing to keep your body and mind in harmony?

Lesly,
It does start at the cellular level and build from there.

Wow, great video showing the connections going on in our body at all times. Health of your body is just as important as health anywhere else. Well, really more so.
Thanks,
Val

Lesly,
Thanks for reminding us of how amazing our bodies and our cells really are. We need to think to that microscopic level to understand how everything we do and everything we think about affects our core, our cells.
I loved the video and I’m guessing it’s pretty close to what really happens while we are totally unaware.
Great post..we look forward to more.

Hey Lesly,
This post was very timely for me as I have been reading about the connection between stress and emotional upset causing an acidic response in our bodies. Isn’t it fascinating how much we can control what goes on in our bodies through our minds?
Thanks for sharing. Have a great week!

I do agree with this post.Your health is so important. Starting at the cellular level is the best idea. Thanks for the reminder.
Great post and video. Dr. Joe Dispenza actually showed us that positive thoughts lead to more positive by the cells wiring together which can only be broken apart by negative thoughts.

Lesly, our human body is marvelous and we should all make it our goal to take care of every aspect of it. Great post.

Leslie,
Very true! Attitude is everything. I recently read an article that about how someone with an organ implant took healthy habits he never before had. It turned out that the deceased donor had been a triathlete. Some physician is studying that phenomenon in over 80 patients, as I recall.

Hi Lesly! Taking care of our bodies first helps us feel great – and that great feeling supports us in everything we do – so we do need to focus on taking care of our bodies in order to create the mind and character that we want to develop – thanks so much for bringing this to the forefront – it’s vitally important!!

Hi Lori,
Thanks for your comment. I know I have taken my own health for granted, so when you look at things from a different perspective you pay more attention.. thanks for your visit
Hi Lesly,
I found your post quite interesting in that although I have never really thought about how our cells are so important to our overall makeup, I can see how when we take better care of ourselves we can become healthier, and this may be due to, as you described, our cells having learned to become healthier. Thanks for sharing

Thanks for your visit and comment. Everything begins on a cellular level, so for me it’s a good reminder ..
Hi Lesly,
A thought provoking post. I like to think that I take of myself but this serves as a wake up call that it really is about achieving balance and harmony. I sometimes get a little deaf to what my body’s telling me. This will encourage me to listen!

Hi Andrew.. yes I don’t always tune in either, but being aware of how the body functions is a good thing. Thanks for the visit and your comment
Lesly, great post. I have this sort of universal theory that I have been kickin around in the old noggin for awhile. Don’t have much time to go in depth but I will scratch the surface real quick for ya.
First off, I don’t believe in coincidence. With that said, isn’t it weird that the cellular structure of our DNA, more specifically how the protons and neutrons orbit the nucleus in the exact same fashion our solar system our structured?
Is it nothing close to a “coincidence” that our entire universe is structured similar to how the human body functions every single day…
What are you thoughts?

I enjoyed writing this posts because of the varied answers I would get, and yours is unique.. we could have a VERY long discussion about that! Lots of food for thought there …
Matthew,
I had not thought about that before but yes, very similar makeup and functions. You sure have some interesting stuff bouncing around in your young noggin.
Thanks Lesly for getting us on this thought process!

Hi Lesly,
Thank you for sharing this. I’ve seen time and again that the power of the mind influences our body, it’s immune system, level of stress etc. It’s nice to be reminded that we may be leaving our bodies behind.

Thanks for your visit and comment… yes, stress can be a real challenge for good health over time, so it’s good to add this that relax you as well
Thanks for posting this Lesly and I have totally agree with what you’ve said here, especially:
“Who takes care of them? We do. Directly through our lifestyle, what we eat, and what we think”.
You might find Dr Robert O Young of interest, he talks alot about caring for your body at a cellular level through all three things; lifestyle, food and what we think. (He’s featured on our website).
Infact, researchers have found that there is a mind/body connection and that poor emotional health can result in our bodies’ immune system being weakened and making us more prone to infections.
Looking forward to reading more from you,
Vanessa

Hi Vanessa,
thank you for stopping by and writing a comment.. yes, there is a definite connection and I am so glad that it is now, more than ever an accepted finding. We can do so much more now in healing I think. I will check him out, thanks for that!
Thanks for sharing this, Lesly. I love Candice Pert. She is so amazing. I believe her test trials on her HIV research were flubbed up on purpose by somebody! Our cells are busy busy little things. When they are messed up everything is out of wack.
We certainly are living in wonderful times and I am more and more amazed each day as I learn something new as to how everything is interrelated and has impact on each part/person.
Hi Lesly,
Wow my first time here, but guess what you just reminded me of high school biology, all those cells and how they work…thats awesome but above all you shared an important tip that we all tend to forget- how to take care of our body not just the mind!
Enjoyed the post to bits!

I assume Lesly that the video is a translation of the good Professor’s hypothesis. I reserve judgment on its’ accuracy, however there is much in the metaphysical realm that supports the overall conclusions in your Blog. We are advancing at a rapid pace and I’m sure that the future will bring actual microscopic evidence to validate or discredit the video. Excellent post that get us thinking of the wonderful possibilities the mind can accomplish
