Wellness encompasses a lot of areas: physical and mental health, financial, relationships, family, love, career, interests… self esteem,  just about everything we do and how we think.

 

But, it all starts with one basic element: YOU.  You are at the center of everything, your choices, decisions, actions, how you think, and behave. If your life is missing “something” , not well, or healthy (for me this means lacking in some area – not always illness) obviously you won’t be satisfied.

We live in a crazy time. Every country seems to know every country’s business, just like we do socially because of the technology, computers and so on.  What does it tell you when CNN is using Facebook, Twitter, etc., to communicate and interact live with the world? Look what’s happening in Iran!

In the midst of all of this, it’s important to center yourself around your world.   You can only control your own life.  No one elses. Just yours. 

But many of us are just too stressed out! It’s overwhelming, we give up because it’s too “hard” . I have been there. There are those who are content with how things are.  Heck NO, not me!  I want more out of life!

I am grateful though for all those books on positive thinking, and periodicals like Success Magazine  ( I LOVE that mag!!!). I learned about people like Zig Ziggler and John Maxwell, and a woman who at 50 years old changed her whole life and became a famous book  publisher – Louise L. Hay (she is oone of my idols).  I also have a personal coach – not to be confused with therapy – who keeps me on track! EVERYONE should have a coach!

What I want to say here is this, your life  will be what you make it. This is totally based on your personal perceptions of how you view yourself, your personal world, what YOU think others THINK about you. Many of us live our lives by what others think, or how THEY think we should live it … has this happened to you?  Ponder that.

Wellness begins with you. From the inside out. So whatever decisions you make about your eating habits, nutrition, exercise, career, behaviors, emotions, your aspeirations, it all begins and ends with you.

What I hope for you is while you are here, you’ll learn some things that will inspire you to make positive changes in your life.  Learn information that will make you want to know more, get excited, and  motivated.

One thing I have learned in my own journey of wellness is this: I am a survivor!  Tthe discomfort to get to the good stuff was worth it, and  second, fear is not an enemy. Fear is the line drawn to make a decision – go for it or stay and do nothing.  You can remain where you are dreaming about  ”what if” or you can go beyound fear and experience some incredible things in your life – just because you made the choice – the decision to move forward in your life. It can be amazing.
