I remember when as a child learning about nature in school and the Bumble Bees – how they pollinated flowers, spread the seeds around, sucked the nectar of the flower and buzzed all the way home to their comb to make honey – honey I would scoop from a jar and spoon over my pancakes in the morning for breakfast. Yum…
It was a wonder to me then, but now through adult eyes I understand better the circle of giving on all levels of life.
So last week when I visited my friends website , The Robin and Judy Show, they broadcast a message to all who listened – a call to action for everyone to contribute something, somehow, on some level, to enrich the lives of others in need around the world. They also listed several organizations to investigate.
I couldn’t ignore it (I would have felt guilty listening to their conversation then doing nothing).
So, I thought about what I could do and came up with this idea … I like to draw, paint, and I include my drawings (or photos) with my blog posts. That way all the images are mine and no copyright boo boos happen.
Many people have expressed liking some of my artwork. So I decided to make it available to you through cafepress.com and any sales I get (believe me I don’t make much because I pay for the product and the printing costs) I’ll donate 10% to Mission Feeding to start.
I see this as a win-win. For you, you’ll have something fun and usable, and I’ll be able to give to others, and enjoy the fact that someone likes my art – you have NO idea what a rewarding feeling that is. My art is my heart.
Honestly, I have been ignoring it for too long. The Internet makes it possible to share it boldly.

I is really about giving back and it does not just have to be to a charity. For me if I get great service in a restaurant I will give the waiter a very large tip. I know it will bring a smile to his face and assist him in some area of his life. Something you can do as family when you go to a restaurant is look around the room and see what family might assist the most. Decide as a family and pay their bill anonymously.

Thanks Michael for your visit and coment…
Something you may want to check out is called mind mapping, if you like to draw and be creative it can be absolutely amazing.
Thanks for sharing, I will go check out your art.
Have a great day!

Lesly,
Thanks for really jumping in there and finding yet another way to contribute. I’m inspired to put something together now, too. Think I’ve got the germ of an idea, connected to appreciation, so I’ll be mulling it over this weekend.

Lesly,
What a wonderful way to help others and at the same time do what you love to do and what sings to your soul. And your artwork is great… keep it going!

Lesly I cant agree more with you what you give out will come back to you and more , if you sow one corn seed you get more than one seed back. The same law work no matter what you give out.
Lesly,
Congratulations on the courage and love that you are showing in being willing to share your talents and gifts and expose them to the world! I think you’ll be surprised at how well they will be received. And thank you for modeling that open-heartedness again. I will definitely have to take a look inside and see how I can share more of myself with the world as well.
Thanks again,
Adam

Such a good post. You are very creative.Your art work is awesome. Thanks for sharing.
You always have new and creative ways to promote yourself. The bags look really cool. I love working on marketing materials so much that it is now my punishment for not achieving my action steps for my goals. I don’t complete my actions for the week and I don’t get to work my new postcards or new promotional materials. Spending hours on a twitter background is so much fun to me but it is not what I should focus on first. Not that this is your journey, you probably have no problems focusing. I really love your artwork and always enjoy your refreshingly different blog posts.
