Your Green Power – You

It’s becoming obvious how powerful people are – which means you. I just read today in Social Marketing Today that Facebook after having a “slump” added 5 million U.S.A users to their platform during the month of August alone!  Imagine that! Imagine how powerful Facebook founders must feel, huh?

Tribes are popping up all over the internet demonstrating the power of “it takes a village to raise a family” or rather – it takes a tribe to get traffic to your blog or website to build your business.

I endorse tribes 100%. I’m a member of the Tribe Syndication Association because I NEVER – nope- nada – zero -had visitors to my blog and now I do. And let me just say here quickly , if you have a business, blog, etc.,  you want others to know about, become part of a tribe and watch the traffic grow (not to mention the friends and connections you make). You can also create your own tribe – just a thought.

So. You and I stand alone as individuals. But in a group the power is phenomenal.   We have seen this over and over again.

When it comes to “going green” the information is fragmented, scattered, and you really don’t know what companies to trust or how committed they are – if at all – to producing mindful green products to consumers. Then there is the issue of “green-washing” (get this free report above – it’s an eye opener) where some manufactures are riding the coat tails of  the green movement – claiming to be “green” when they’re not .

But what if we, as mass consumers had a way to challenge companies that make the products we buy – the ones we’re not sure of – and were able to hold them to a higher standard, make them more responsible and accountable to the choices they make in producing their products? And, what if there were a way - a resource, to find the companies who are honestly environmentally friendly that you could support and buy from.

“we’re not going to buy it if you don’t authentically accept the values  and purpose of the green movement and adjust what goes into those products for healthier human living and planet health” …

Okay … my passion is over flowing at the moment – as I write this… LOL!

  1. Hi Lesly,

Excellent post. You’re absolutely correct on all points. I totally agree with the team and the tribes. We can all do SO much more Working Together! The power of the group IS phenomenal, isn’t it?!

I also believe what you said about the “going green” and how how any company can “claim to be” so it’s important for us, as consumers, to be informed. Very helpful resource that you shared. Thanks!

  2. Hi Lesly,

Going to have to keep an eye on your blog as I am very green too! Definitely a passion we share.

  3. Hi Lesly,
You are absolutely right about the power of a tribe. The added viewers to our sites and people I am getting to know has been great! As well as the many wonderful sites and content are very good.
With care of our planet Earth we MUST do something now! I believe holding companies more responsible is necessary. I will do more to make a more conscious decision when purchasing products. Thanks, Darcy

Tribes – where do I start. I love the concept of tribes, I also love the value of the free traffic they provide.

For me the most important thing is the knowledge I gain from all the content I am now exposed too and the relationships built from syndication.

I also agree companies should be held accountable. It is a shame what they have been allowed to get away with through the years.

    Lesly,
The power of Tribes is the power of a mastermind group that’s here for support, learning and growth.

It is time to take care of this planet we live on. Our role is as a gate keeper, we have forgotten that.

  6. I also agree that the use of Tribes is very powerful, especially if members of the Tribe are consistent week after week. Everyone wins in this type of group on the internet. In regards to green, our family is becoming more aware of it, and are making small changes to our household, but Rome wasn’t built in a day right?

I think more companies are coming out with green products, so I do see an improvement, and as time goes on, we’ll see it more and more.

    Cheers,

    Hello Lesly,

Great Post. And yes, how about the awesome power from a tribe? Like you, I belong to the tsa mastery tribe and it will do you wonders for traffic if you work for it like anything else in life.

And yes, would it be another wonderful thing in life if companies were held more accountable with there products they sell to the masses.

Lets all work on that, and watch out for harmful products out there and get the word out on them when we can.

Its time we all stand up and be heard on many of life’s problems instead of saying nothing.

Keep your posts coming and thanks for making a difference for the good of us all!

Wishing you all my best :)

  8. Hi Lesly,

Love the video. It is very enlightening that we can influence through our purchases.

We are all just temporary guests on this planet.

Would we go into a friend’s home and leave it in worse condition than we came in?

Most people don’t however that’s how most treat the earth.

Like people who want world peace, you must start with inner peace.

To have the world go green, we must start within and by being an example others will be given permission to do the same.

Thank you for your leadership Lesly!

    Hi Lesly,

First I’ll start by agreeing with you about the power of the tribes. I have has an awesome experience with TSA that you mentioned in your post. It has been great to look at other peoples blogs and add value with comments and also every time I syndicate a blog I feel like I am helping someone get their word out about what’s important to them.

When it comes to holding companies accountable for their footprint they leave it is important to hold them accountable. Just as we pay for products and services they should pay for irresponsibility… I guess that was ranting a little bit but hey what can say?

    Stay green,
